Recent updates and magnificent renderings of the $218 million Al Mahra Maldives resort, which is scheduled to open its doors in 2025, have been released by FAM Holding Group. The development is anticipated to take two years to complete, with handover set for the second quarter of 2025. The resort is located in Laamu Atoll's beautiful island of Fonagaadhoo where construction is scheduled to start in August 2023.

Al Mahra Maldives prioritizes sustainability even if it implies a short delay in its launch. According to Faisal Ali Mousa, chairman of FAM Holding Group, they will need to obtain them from foreign vendors, resulting in a longer building timeframe, due to the lack of suitable materials in the Maldives. Consequently, it is predicted that the project will take two and a half years to complete.

Al Mahra Maldives will run on solar energy produced by FAM Ganz Green Energy, a division of FAM Holding, in keeping with their emphasis on sustainability. The resort will also use a cutting-edge desalination technique to ensure that the rejected salty water can be safely disposed of in the ocean without harming the marine ecosystem. Along with the thrilling updates, gorgeous renderings were also made public, showcasing the resort's spectacular architecture and opulent amenities and capturing potential visitors' attention.
