MALDIVES ATTAINS 65% OF ANNUAL TOURIST ARRIVAL TARGET!
The Maldives is doing well; it has already reached an astounding 65% of its yearly target of 1.8 million visitors. With 22,533 arrivals, Spain has established itself as one of the top 10 source markets for tourists visiting the Maldives, according to recent statistics. According to the most recent statistics, 1,181,093 visitors had entered the Maldives as of Wednesday. With this success, the country will now try to welcome an extra 634,663 tourists in order to meet its ambitious goal.
Currently, the Maldives receive 5,631 tourists on average per day. It is anticipated that there will be around 800,000 more visitors in the remaining four and a half months of the year if this trend persists. When compared to the same period last year, the 1.1 million tourist arrivals this year already reflect an increase of 13.8%, or 141,608 more people. The average length of stay for visitors in the Maldives is currently 7.7 days, an improvement over the previous year. Russia, India, China, the United Kingdom, and Germany are currently the top five source countries for tourist arrivals.
