The travel and luggage specialists at Bounce have compiled a list of the most well-known sunset hotspots and analyzed them based on their social media popularity, pollution levels, and overall number of recommendations. The study has shed light on the top sunset locations in the globe, from the gorgeous Greek island of Santorini to the ancient city of Venice.

With a ranking score of 9.07 out of 10, the breathtaking islands of the Maldives grabbed the second place for the greatest sunset sky in the world. The Maldives are the best place to describe what "paradise" is. It makes sense that tourists may take in some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world given the area's white sand beaches, romantic on-the-water villas, and turquoise waters.

There is just one resort on each of the 192 islands that make up the archipelago of the Maldives, which has a total surface area of 90 000 km2. As a result, there is very little light pollution (0.219 cd/m2). Even while travelers can enjoy astronomy year-round, the optimal time is between November and April during the dry season when the sky is the clearest.
