VAKKARU MALDIVES TO COLLABORATE WITH MICHELIN-STARRED CHEF
On January 22, 2023, Vakkaru Maldives will collaborate with the renowned Banfi vineyard, Michelin-starred Chef Domenico Francone, and Di-vine Cellars Maldives to organize a one-night ultra-exclusive wine supper. With a five-course dinner and a wine selection from the Banfi portfolio, Chef Domenico celebrates the best of Tuscan cuisine on the picturesque Isoletta beach.
John and Harry Mariani, two Italian-American brothers, launched Banfi in 1978. Pioneering, research, innovation, and sustainability are the four main pillars on which Banfi has built a successful and noteworthy history. Banfi, a Tuscan wine region outside of the hilltop village of Montalcino, is known for its exceptional Brunello, Rosso, and Super Tuscan wines. Additionally, Banfi manages other vineyards in Piedmont and Tuscany that produce a range of red, white, and rose wines.
Iain McCormack, general manager at Vakkaru Maldives, comments on the upcoming Tuscan dinner: "We are always searching for ways to enhance the guest experience at Vakkaru and give them elevated culinary choices. This partnership with Chef Domenico and Banfi is made possible thanks to Di-vine Cellars. We are eager for our guests to sample the superb wines and genuine Italian cuisine at Isoletta.
