VISIT MALDIVES PARTICIPATES IN ILTM CANNES 2023

The Maldives offered its luxurious experiences at the International Luxury Travel Market's (ILTM) flagship event, ILTM Cannes 2023, thanks to the efforts of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives). This event took place from December 4–7, 2023 in the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. The first day of the event featured the Global Forum, which highlighted thought-provoking talks that encapsulated the spirit of the modern luxury travel sector.

A total of 08 businesses from the Maldives' luxury travel sector showcased their distinctive luxury products to the main markets at the event. One of the world's premier luxury trade shows, ILTM Cannes 2023 offers a valuable venue for conducting face-to-face business interactions with various luxury buyers from the Maldives' main source markets, including France, the US, the UK, Germany, and Italy.

The Maldives' ILTM Cannes 2023 display, which featured images of opulent resorts, liveaboards, activities, and the destination's distinctive geography, illustrates the various facets of luxury travel. Through one-on-one meetings, industry partners and luxury buyers are engaged throughout the event, and information about the destination's luxury segment is shared.

Russia, India, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the United States, France, Spain, and Switzerland rank among the top ten markets for the Maldives in 2023. 1,678,639 tourists were reported to have landed in the Maldives as of November 29 of this year, a 9.41% increase from 2022. Through a variety of marketing initiatives, MMPRC continuously promotes the Maldives, making sure that it continues to be the world's most sought-after luxury travel destination. As a result, as of November 23 of this year, MMPRC had effectively carried out 348 marketing initiatives.
